The JM Jazz World Orchestra is the world’s premier international jazz orchestra, comprised of around 20 young professionals from 15+ different countries selected through a global annual audition. The band works with some of the planet’s finest conductors and soloists, touring annually, and performing at prestigious venues and jazz festivals across Europe and the world. The JM Jazz World Orchestra is an international program of JM International, the world’s oldest and largest youth-music nonprofit making a difference through music since 1945. The orchestra has performed with renowned musicians such as Renne Manning, Jim Rotondy, KarlHeinz MIklin, John Rilley, Hector Martignon, Gonzalo Rublacaba, Andy Mc Kee, Alex Sipiagin, Dick Oatts, Famoadou don Moye, Boris Kozlow and others. In 2019, the orchestra recorded its first album, Jazz Pops / Pop Swings, which was released this year due to the pandemic. The album perfectly showcases the live energy and talent of the young musicians of the JM Jazz World Orchestra (all under the age of 26), who come from different parts of the world. Featuring 10 stunning tracks, a unique collection that reinvents popular music from the last century, alongside beautiful original compositions by Bonilla. Along the way, you'll meet Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, Carole King, George Michael, Patsy Cline and Ariana Grande. JM Jazz World skillfully combines the infectious rhythms and melodies of these timeless classics with the ultimate sophistication that only a big band can provide. Every year the orchestra tours, appearing at major European jazz festivals and events. The orchestra has performed at numerous venues and had notable concerts in Croatia, Netherland, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Italy, Macedonia, Serbia, Belgium and Slovenia. There was also a significant collaboration with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and Maria Scnheider, as well as a performance at the UniCredit Festival in Milan with Gonzalo Rubalcaba. The JM Jazz World Orchestra continues to thrive under the mentorship of Luis Bonilla, who returns for his eight season as Artistic Director.
