Miguel Lavi, cantaor or flamenco singer, was born in Jerez de la Frontera, in the mythical Plazuela, birthplace of prestigious artists such as La Paquera, Los Agujetas, and Los Moneos.
He made his singing debut at the age of twelve in La Peña Agujetas el Viejo in Rota, Cádiz. In 1998 he went to Japan with the renowned dancers Andrés Peña and Mercedes Ruíz, land ater returned to Japan to collaborate in shows by maestro Kojima.
In 1999 he traveled to Barcelona, where he worked at the Tablao “El Cordobés” for five years, alternating with artists of the stature of Antonio Canales, Duquende or Belén Maya. That year he also participated in the works “Somorrostro” and “Los Tarantos” under the direction of Javier Latorre.
In 2004 he toured Mexico with the teachers Antonio Canales, La Moneta, Pepe Torres and Mercedes Ruiz. In 2008 he was invited to the Jerez Festival, where he gave a solo recital with Diego del Morao's guitar at the Villavicencio Palace, obtaining great critical success.
In 2010 he worked with flamenco figures such as Juana Maya, Pastora Galván.
In 2018 he released his first solo album, called Viejos Retales; obtaining wonderful revies. He currently combines solo performances as the lead figure and accompanies acclaimed dance figures such as Antonio Canales, Juan de Juan, Pastora Galván, Olga Pericet, and Cristina Aguilera.
