From 2018-2023, the tenor studied singing at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in collaboration with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and since 2019 has been studying instrumental and vocal pedagogy with Johannes Stecher at the Mozarteum Salzburg.

He has also completed masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Karlheinz Hanser, Robert Holl, Stephan Matthias Lademann and Thomas Hampson, among others, and studied with Vesselina Kasarova and Linda Watson at the Eva Lind Music Academy as a scholarship holder of the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce. In 2022, Matteo Ivan Rašić won the “Opera for Peace Prize” at the Stanisław Moniuszko Competition under the patronage of Jakub Jozef Orliński, as well as the “Tyrolean Classical Singer Prize”.

Engagements to date have taken him to the Salzburg Festival (Young Singers Project), the Oper Burg Gars (L'Elisir d'amore), the Kufstein Operetta Summer and the Croatian Opera Academy, followed by participation in the Waiblingen International Opera Workshop. As part of his training, he sang Ecclitico in Haydn's “Il mondo della luna” at the Tyrolean State Conservatory. His oratorio repertoire includes Bach's “Christmas Oratorio” and “St. Matthew Passion”, Handel's “Messiah”, Mendelssohn Bartholdy's “95th Psalm” as well as Haydn's “The Seasons” and “The Creation”.

Since the 23/24 season, Matteo Ivan Rašić has been a member of the ensemble at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich, where he has performed roles including Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Adam (Der Vogelhändler) and Fritz (Grossherzogin von Geroldstein).
