Filip Mišković, named Young Musician of the Year 2025 by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, stands out through his strong artistic identity, compelling interpretations, and complete mastery of both music and instrument.

He became an outstanding laureate of the 40th Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition, winning First Prize, the Audience Award, and the Special Prize for the Best Performance of a work by a Spanish composer. His artistry has been further recognized with the Ferdo Livadić Award, with the jury of the 22nd Ferdo Livadić International Competition for Young Musicians describing him as “a strong and fully developed artistic personality.” He also won First Prize at the 11th Papandopulo Croatian Competition for Young Music Artists.

By the age of 17, Filip had already won more than 40 Croatian and international awards at competitions for young guitarists, including the Guitar Foundation of America Competition in Miami and the Anna Amalia Competition for Young Guitarists in Weimar.

Throughout his concert career to date, he has given numerous performances across Europe in some of the most renowned concert venues, including the Musikverein in Vienna, Kings Place in London (England), Gran Anfiteatro del Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos in Madrid (Spain), Uppsala University Hall in Uppsala (Sweden), Gotische Zaal in The Hague (Netherlands), the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb, the Croatian Home (Hrvatski dom) in Split, and many others. As a soloist, he has performed with distinguished orchestras such as the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra, the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, the Mediterranean Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of the Croatian National Theatre in Split.

He received his primary and secondary music education at the Josip Hatze Music School under the guidance of Professor Vicko Novak and Professor Maroje Brčić. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of Professor Darko Petrinjak.

During his studies in Croatia, the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia awarded him seven Oscar of Knowledge prizes for outstanding achievements and first-place awards at national competitions. He is also the recipient of the Rector’s Award (2020) and the Dean’s Award (2024) of the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb.

In 2021, he became a member of EuroStrings Artist, one of the most significant European Union platforms for young guitarists.

He is currently studying with Professor Zoran Dukić at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where he has been awarded an excellence scholarship by Fonds 1999.

Filip Mišković is a member of the Knobloch Strings Family and performs on a guitar built by the French luthier Jean-Noël Rohé.
