The Folklore ensemble Linđo is a key part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival since 1967 and their traditional performances, which showcase and honour the rich immaterial cultural heritage of Dubrovnik and Croatia, are always popular and well-received by both foreign and local audiences. Linđo kolo, or circle dance, is on the official  list  of  Croatia’s  Intangible  Cultural  Heritages,  among  such  treasures  as  the  festivity  of  Saint Blaise and  traditional  Konavle  embroidery from the Dubrovnik region and klapa singing of Dalmatia, the Silent Circle Dance of Dalmatian hinterland, the Bećarac dance and the Međimurska Popevka folk songs of rural Eastern Croatia. For this Festival season, the Ensemble’s performances will not be taking place on the traditional Linđo stage on the Revelin fort but in front of the Cathedral. Linđo have prepared an interesting and varied programme which includes the indispensable linđo
dance, the Vrlika circle dance, old dances of Split, dances of Posavina, Valpovo, Međimurje and Baranja, Dances of Bunjevci and some musical numbers.
