Senka Bulić earned a degree in acting from the Academy of Theatre, Film and Television in Zagreb.
She has worked with directors such as Vito Taufer, Janusz Kica, Jean Michel Bruyere, Paolo Magelli, Damir Zlatar Frey, Ivica Buljan, Georgij Paro, Ivica Kunčević, Božidar Violić, Eduard Miler, Paolo Tišljarić and Jan Fabre. She has appeared on stages across Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary, and in films such as Cijena života (Bogdan Žižić), Pont Neuf (Željko Senečić), Kako je počeo rat na mom otoku (Vinko Brešan), Svećenikova djeca (Vinko Brešan), Svinjari (Ivan Livaković) and Egzorcizam (Dalibor Matanić). Her roles include numerous classical and postdramatic heroines, such as Circe, Teuta, Medea, Helen, Electra, Cassandra, Phaedra, Jackie Kennedy, Jocasta and Blanche Dubois. In addition to international awards, she is also the recipient of the Croatian Actors Award. Also active as a theatre director, she has directed over twenty plays. The productions in which she appeared or directed were performed at numerous international and domestic festivals. She founded and served as artistic director of the Hotel Bulić Theatre. She was the director of the multimedia centre in Velika Gorica, within which she founded the Scena Gorica Theatre, the director of the Split Summer Festival theatre programme and assistant to the director of the Split Summer Festival, Nikša Bareza.
Since 2022 she has served as the director of the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin.
