Exciting Festival Summer Has Started!
By raising the Libertas Festival Flag accompanied by the sounds and lyrics of The Hymn of Freedom on July 10, in front of St. Blaise's Church, the 68th Dubrovnik Summer Festival was officially opened and it will be traditionally held until August 25. In 47 days, on more than 15 ambient locations, almost 2,000 artists from across the globe will present around 80 dramatic, musical, opera, ballet, folklore and other programs to 60,000 domestic and foreign guests.
Carmina Burana to open the Festival music programme
Carmina Burana will be performed on Tuesday, 11 July at 9.30 pm in front of the St Blaise's Churc by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharomonic, Ivan Goran Kovačić Academic Choir conducted by mo. Ivan Josip Skender and soloists: Owen Willets, Nicola Proksch and Nikola Mijailović
The 68th Dubrovnik Summer Festival to be opened on Monday
The 68th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, taking place until 25 August, will open on 10 July at 9.00 pm, in front of St Blaise’s Church, with the raising of the Libertas flag to the verses of Hymn to Liberty. During 47 festival days, nearly 2000 artists from all over the world will take part in more than 80 theatrical, musical, operatic, ballet, folklore and other events in around 15 site-specific venues, before an audience of 60.000 local and foreign visitors.
Dubrovnik Summer Festival Box Office to be opened on Monday
The box office will be open on a daily basis from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm from Monday, 12 June, and from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm from 1 July.
Corrections of Rhythm - Newly Announced Project for the Next Season
The play Corrections of Rhythm, directed by Goran Sergej Pristaš, is a new co-production between the BADco. Collaborative Performance Collective, the Croatian National Theatre of Zagreb and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival scheduled for the 2017/2018 season. The Festival audience will have the opportunity to see the play at the 69th Dubrovnik Summer Festival

Tickets for around thirty musical, theatrical, ballet and other programmes - which will be shown at the 68th Dubrovnik Summer Festival from 10 July to 25 August - are available online on the Dubrovnik Summer Festival site dubrovnik-festival.hr and via ulaznice.hr service.

TELE2 is the Festival's new telecommunication partner and sponsor
The Dubrovnik Summer Festival and Tele2 have signed a two-year sponsorship contract, which includes telecommunication services and sponsorship of the plays La bottega del caffè and Othello at the 68th Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The contract has been signed by Ivana Medo Bogdanović, the Festival's acting Executive Director, and Viktor Pavlinić, Tele2 Croatia's Chairman of the Board, today, on 27 April 2017, on the occasion of the opening of Tele2's new office in Dubrovnik.
