“Tartuffe” Thrills Numerous Audience
Following Nalješković’s farce “Fifth Comedy” the night before, the awarded Moliere’s “Tartuffe” directed by Krešimir Dolenčić was performed last night, on 16th July in the Center for Advanced Academic Studies Dubrovnik Atrium before a numerous audience. This concluded a two-day visiting project by students of the Academy of Dramatic Art of the University of Zagreb.

Nalješković’s farse “Fifth Comedy” took place last night in the Center for Advanced Academic Studies Atrium as part of a two-day guest appearance of a group of students from the Academy of Dramatic Art Zagreb, whereas the awarded Moliere’s “Tartuffe”, directed by Krešimir Dolenčić, is scheduled to take place tonight, 16th July with a start at 9.30 pm at the same location.
A Farce and a Comedy to Start Off the Drama Programme

As part of the programme “Dubrovnik Summer Festival from the Croatian Television Archieves”, a free projection of a featured documentary film “The 40th Anniversary of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival” directed by Stijepo Mijović Kočan, took place last night, July 13th at 9.30 p.m. in the Slavica Open-air Cinema.
Ovations for Kesselyák and the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra
The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and cellist Kajana Pačko, lead by visiting conductor Gergely Kesselyák, opened the first in this season’s series of top concerts in the Rector’s Palace Atrium. The concert took place on 12th July in front of an enthusiastic national and international audience.
Ovations for Sudar Percussion and Matej Meštrović
The Sudar Percussion ensemble, alongside Matej Meštrović on the piano, performed on 11th July in the Marin Držić Theatre thrilling the enthusiastic audience. Matej Meštrović and the Sudar Percussion, which consists of some of the best percussionists in the region, have created a completely new musical direction, therefore creating „a true little miracle of a tasteful, lucid and intriguing combination of classical, jazz, rock, pop and etno music“ , which the Festival's audience had a chance of witnessing.
