Ballet Lovers Enjoy Delightful Evening on Revelin Fort Terrace

Attendees of the Summer Ballet School Croatia, which took place over the past two weeks in Dubrovnik, presented fragments of classical and contemporary ballets consolidated into a ballet concert entitled “Preparation....grand sissonne“, last night, 12th August on the Revelin Fort Terrace.

“Dangerous Liaisons” to Premiere on Bošković Square

In co-production of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Ljubljana Festival and the Slovenian National Theater Maribor, the Neo-baroque ballet “Dangerous Liaisons” choreographed and directed by Valentina Turcu and Leo Mujić is set to premiere as part of the Festival’s Vip programme on 20th August on Bošković Square.

“Uncle Maroje” Premieres on Full Držić Square

Držić’s “Uncle Maroje”, directed by Krešimir Dolenčić and performed by the Festival’s Drama Ensemble, premiered last night 9th August, under the sponsorship of OTP Bank, before a numerous audience gathered on Držić Square. The vice president of the Croatian Parliament Nenad Stazić, Minister of Culture Andrea Zlatar Violić and Major Andro Vlahušić were all in presence.

Thriller-drama “Tom on the Farm” in the Slavica Open-air Theatre

Projections of selected films from the Pula Film Festival at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, which started with “The Invisible Woman” and domestic film winners presented in July, will continue with a Canadian-French thriller-drama “Tom on the Farm” taking place on Monday, 11th August in the Jadran Open-air Cinema with a start at 9.30 p.m.

Free Projection of the Film Collage “65 Years of Uncle Maroje at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival”

As part of the “Dubrovnik Summer Festival from the Croatian Television Archives” and in collaboration with the Dubrovnik Cinemas, the second projection of the documentary film collage “65 Years of Uncle Maroje at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival” will take place tomorrow, 10th August in the Slavica Open-air Cinema. Entrance is free of charge.

“The Old Dubrovnik Language” Attracts Numerous Audience

Presentation of the book “The Old Dubrovnik Language” with a subheading “A Linguistic Analysis of Dubrovnik’s Adaptations of the French Comedies” by Ivana Lovrić Jović, published by the Institute for Croatian Language and Linguistics, took place last night, 7th August, before a numerous audience, in the Sponza Palace Atrium.

Second Drama Premiere Sold Out

Tickets for all four of Držić’s “Uncle Maroje” performances, directed by Krešimir Dolenčić and performed by the Festival’s Drama Ensemble as part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s programme, scheduled to take place on the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th of August on Držić Square, are sold out.

Linđo to Present Croatian Folklore Pageantry on Revelin

Traditional performances of the Linđo Folklore Ensemble at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, which began in July will continue throughout August with a performance set to take place tonight at 9.30 p.m. on the Fort Revelin Terrace.

“Uncle Maroje“ Premieres on Saturday on Držić Square

The 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s second premiere “Uncle Maroje”, directed by Krešimir Dolenčić and performed by the Festival’s Drama Ensemble, will take place on Saturday, 9th August at 9.30 p.m. on Držić Square, as announced by the Festival’s Artistic Director Krešimir Dolenčić, Director Ivana Meds Bogdanović and OTP Bank, the play’s donor, representative Josipa Vodenac at a press conference held today, 6th August, in the Festival’s Palace.
