Premiere Performance of “War Diary”

The premiere of the stage game motivated by Džemila Bukovica’s “War Diary” directed by Ante Vlahinić was held last night, 5th August on Victory and National Thanksgiving Day, which is also Defenders of Croatia Day, in the Aquarium.

“The Old Dubrovnik Language” in Sponza

The presentation of Ivana Lovrić Javić’s book “The Old Dubrovnik Language” with a subheading “A Linguistic Analysis of Dubrovnik’s Adaptations of the French Comedies” published by the Institute for Croatian Language and Linguistics Zagreb, will take place on Thursday, 7th August at 9.30 p.m. in the Rector’s Palace Atrium.

“Bravo!” Exclamations from Audience for Concerto de' Cavalieri’s Performance of “Erminia”

Italian ensemble Concerto de’ Cavalieri conducted by Marcello Di Lisa performed as part of the 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s Vip programme last night, 4th August, in the Rector’s Palace Atrium. The performace of Alessandro Scarlatti’s serenate “Erminia, Tancredi, Polidoro e Pastore” left the Festival’s audience thrilled.

“Paganini on Flute” to Perform Bach in the Rector’s Palace

Flutist Dieter Flury, cellist Tamás Varga and Stefan Gottfried on the harpsichord will perform as part of the 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s Vip pogramme on Wednesday, 6th August at 9.30 p.m. in the Rector’s Palace Atrium with a programme entitled “Bach Today”.

Monograph of the Great Neva Rošić Presented Last Night

Published by the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the monograph of renowned Croatian actress and theatrical pedagogue Neva Rošić, who achieved some of her best roles at the Festival, was presented last night 3rd August in the Rector’s Palace Atrium.

Tartini Quartet Celebrating 30th Anniversary

The Tartini String Quartet will perform as part of the 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s music programme on Tuesday, 5th August at 9.30 p.m. in the Rector’s Palace Atrium. An interesting fact – this top Slovenian chamber quartet performed at the Festival 5 years ago, during its 60th season, on the exactly same date.
