Programme “Writers at the Festival” to Be Opened by Baricco’s “Ocean Sea”

The Dubrovnik Summer Festival, in collaboration with the Croatian Writers Association and the project's author Mani Gotovac, will open the programme "Writers at the Festival" entitled "Sand as far as the eye can see" tonight, 29th July, with the premiere performance of "Several imaginary scenes inspired by the novel Ocean Sea by Alessandro Baricco" at 11.00 p.m. at Šulić Beach, as announced at the press conference held yesterday, 28th July, in the Festival's Palace.

Lado's Imposing Dance Repertoire Traditionally Presented at the Festival

A performance by the National Folk Dance and Song Ensemble Lado, a favourite of the Festival's audience, was traditionally held as part of the Festival’s programme last night, 27th July, before a numerous national and international audience on the Fort Revelin Tarace.

Wagner, Tchaikovsky and Dvořák to Be Performed by the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra on Ruđer Bošković Square

As part of the 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s musical programme, the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Berislav Skenderović, will perform alongside violinist Marco Graziani on Monday, 28th July with a start at 9.30 p.m. on Ruđer Bošković Square.

Premiere of “Romeo i Juliet“ Earns Standing Ovation from Audience in Skočibuha

Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, the first drama premiere at this year’s 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, directed by Jagoš Marković and performed by the Festival’s Drama Ensemble, took place last night, 25th July under the sponsorship of Croatia osiguranje earning a standing ovation from the audience gathered in the Renaissance Skočibuha Summer Residence on Boninovo.

Musical Minimalism Performed by Pianist Bojan Gorišek

Leading Slovenian pianist in the domain of contemporary classical music Bojan Gorišek is set to perform the works of Eric Satie and Philip Glass as part of the 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s Vip programme on Saturday, 26th July at 9 p.m. in the Rector’s Palace Atrium.

Final Performance of “Obscuration” at the Festival Takes Place Tonight

The final performance of “Obscuration”, the newest project of the Lero Student Theatre directed by Davor Mojaš, who created it according to the notes of Ruđer and Anica Bošković, will take place tonight, 24th July with a start at 9.30 p.m. in the Lazaretto.

An Evening of Ethno-Jazz with Borna Šercar and Jazziana Croatica
