A Weekend with Mala scena theatre
One of the most popular Croatian theatres for children and the youth, the Mala Scena, theatre will guest at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival this Saturday and Sunday, 30 and 31 July, with two plays in the Bunić-Kaboga Summer Villa. The play Story of a Wheel is scheduled for the morning while The Princess and the Pea will be staged in the afternoon, both shown in two consecutive time slots. Both programmes are supported by the Caboga Stiftung foundation.

Lion House returns to the playground under Minčeta Fort
Last year's premiere and award-winning play Lion House, directed by Aida Bukvić based on the eponymous Ivan Salečić novel is again part of the festival programme this summer, returning to the playground under Minčeta Fort from this Tuesday to Friday, 26 to 29 July. The first performance, on 26 July, will be starting at 10 p.m. while the others will start at 9.30 p.m.
Best Croatian film The Staffroom from Pula Film Fest at the 73rd Festival tonight
The most recent iteration of the now traditional collaboration between the Pula Film Festival and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival brings a screening of the award-winning domestic feature film The Staffroom, directed by Sonja Tarokić, tonight, 25 July at 9.30 p.m. at the Jadran open-air cinema. While the entrance is free, due to the limited number of seats, free tickets must be collected in advance at the Festival Palace Box Office (Od Sigurate 1). The film will be subtitled in English.
Spellbinding Ballet Pride and Prejudice Ballet in Gradac Park one more night
The Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb enchanted the audience gathered in Gradac Park last night, 23 July with their performance of the two-part neo-romantic ballet Pride and Prejudice directed and choreographed by Leo Mujić on the basis of the eponymous Jane Austen cult classic. One more performance is on the programme tonight, 24 July at 9.30 p.m.
