Blend of Three Guitars and Mezzo-Soprano Thrills Festival Audience

The Dubrovnik Guitar Trio members Ante Skaramuca, Frano Matušić and Maroje Brčić, alongside mezzo-soprano Renata Pokupić, held a premiere performance of compositions by Anđelko Klobučar and Zoran Juranić as part of the 65th Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s music programme last night, 16th August in the Rector’s Palace Atrium.

Vidić’s “At the Pearly Gates” as Part of the Programme “Writers at the Festival” Will Take Place Tonight

As part of the supporting programme “Writers at the Festival” sub-headed “Sand as far as the eye can see”, accomplished by the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in collaboration with the Croatian Writers Association, a performance of an adaptation of “At the Pearly Gates” directed by Paolo Tišljarić, selected from the collection of novels “Southern Country” by Ivan Vidić, will take place tonight, 17th August at 9.30 p.m. in the Sponza Palace Atrium. Entrance is free of charge.

Ovations for Gazarov and His Blend of Classical and Jazz Music

An Evening with Arsen Dedić in the Rector’s Palace

As part of the supporting programme “Writers at the Festival”, sponsored by HEP Group, an evening with poet and song-writer Arsen Dedić entitled “Writer of all Genres”, accompanied by Matija Dedić on the piano, will take place tonight, 13th August, at 9.30 p.m. in the Rector’s Palace Atrium, after which a free projection of documentary film “My Trade” will follow. “My Trade”, directed by Mladen Matičević, is a film about the life of Arsen Dedić and is scheduled to start at 11.30 p.m. The film is not subtitled in English.

Ballet Lovers Enjoy Delightful Evening on Revelin Fort Terrace

Attendees of the Summer Ballet School Croatia, which took place over the past two weeks in Dubrovnik, presented fragments of classical and contemporary ballets consolidated into a ballet concert entitled “Preparation....grand sissonne“, last night, 12th August on the Revelin Fort Terrace.
